Ms. Teng assists in handling the firm's various litigation and dispute resolution cases, including commercial contract disputes, debt recovery, tenancy and property disputes, and intellectual property infringement cases.

She focuses on case material organization, drafting of writs and defense documents, court procedure management, and assists partners with client communication and trial preparation. She possesses a strong sense of responsibility and service, with client success as her primary goal.

KEY EXPERIENCE:

  • Handled multiple types of litigation cases, including contract disputes, shareholder disputes, confidential information disputes, franchise/licensing disputes, debt recovery, winding-up proceedings, bankruptcy proceedings, third-party garnishee proceedings, seizure actions, and seizure and auction orders.

  • Appeared as defense counsel in the High Court of Malaya to defend a client against a bank's application for summary judgment amounting to RM 5.2 million.

  • Appeared as counsel in the High Court of Malaya to handle winding-up proceedings.

  • Assisted in cases involving shipping and maritime, defamation, the Mental Health Act 2001, and winding-up proceedings.

  • Assisted in matters involving applications for land subdivision.

  • Handled a case where goods were seized due to trespass and illegal detention, and successfully obtained an injunction for the client to retrieve the goods.
